I've moved me post as I realised I had posted in the wrong area!
I have already said that my CM11 will not talk to vcrib, but it does respond to vcrib commands. Until I get this working correctly, I am really stuck.
I cannot use Insteon in the UK. I just want to know if, like I suspect, I am doing something wrong or if it is the coding that needs tweaking or maybe there is something missing from an ini file?
Does anyone else use the CM11A? Is it just mine that is playing up? Is there someway I can test (using any program, without too much experience) if the vcrib cm11a module is outputing anything at all. I know the cm11 does using perl on Dos, so it's not the actual unit.
I've brought a whole box of x10 units and I have managed to set them all up ready to start interacting, but as vcrib is acting deaf, I am really stuck. There is only so much I can do with bluetooth alone 
Sorry to bitch on, but I am only trying to build some knowledge, get my HA system up and running and hopefully write another user guide.
If you read this Vaughn, you are more than welcome to use logmein to see if it is a setting.

So you are able to issue commands to the cm11a and have lights turn on, but you can not use other powerline switches to send commands into vCrib?

Absolutely right,
Just as an additional note, the CM11A mod / app does see the commands issued on my power line and lists them in the bottom left section of it's window. They just don't make it back to vcrib.
