I know vCrib supports Z-wave, but I have not seen any mention of Rako.

I understand Z-wave is good, but I have seen (on other sites) that it can miss commands that are sent. Rako costs more, but I would hope is more reliable. Having said that though, I don't think Rako has the self repeaters built in.

Do any of you support the one over the other and why? Also, is it planned for vCrib to support Rako?

Cheers

Are you building new? It looks like this Rako stuff is all in-line dimmers. The nice thing about the other technologies, is that you are replacing existing switches. In general those switches will continue to work with out the automation. In-line equipment can limit you.

=) I have never even heard of it.

New construction technologies, many based on hardwired systems are the best out there, but are so expensive, few people use them. Any tech you are interested in, just search for an API, if there is an API, I can interface to it...
